UPEI to host AACUSS 2012

PEI

Dear AACUSS member:

As the first semester draws to a close, I know that many of you are looking forward to a well-deserved holiday, time to rest up and recharge for the next term. It is true, though, that in spite of all the challenges we face in student affairs, there is much to be grateful for and lots to look forward to in 2012–including the AACUSS spring conference!

Our colleagues at the University of Prince Edward Island will be hosting the annual AACUSS conference May 27 to 30, 2012. This year’s conference theme is Collaboration: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. The focus will be on sharing pragmatic collaborative solutions and creative strategies for making the student experience successful.

More information will be coming in January 2012 from the conference committee, chaired by James Reddin. Perhaps, though, while you relax over the holidays, you might give some thought to how you will participate in the conference. Consider giving a presentation or a delivering a workshop or participating in a panel discussion. Share with us how collaboration works on your campus.

Our next issue of AACUSS Talks will be out in late January. You are welcome to submit articles–short or long–to communications@aacuss.ca . Thea deadline is January 16.

On behalf of the AACUSS Executive, I wish you all peace and joy for the holiday season and throughout the new year.

With warmest wishes,

Anne Forrestall
President
